Goats? you say. Well here is how it happened.
I was driving up highway 13 to buy feed and there was
something running down the middle of the road. The car
opposite me was flashing his lights and I slowed down to
see a delightful black and white furry goat who looked me
in the eyes and said “BLEAT”. I was hooked!! The sheriff
I called did bring him home to safety. That was the
beginning of my search for a goat or two. After looking at
many different goats online and making several contacts,
I saw two goats advertised locally at the feed store.
Close by was a good thing. I went to see them. The first
thing Kathy did was show me her yarn. She sent the
fleece from her goats out to be spun into yarn. The yarn
was lovely. The two goats are Registered Pygora goat
Hawks Mountain Peek-a-boo and her unregisted but pure
bred son Ravas. A good starter set, I thought. Hope to
have them home soon.
